Stop Look Listen

This is a publication I designed to accompany a recent exhibition tour I had with the artist collective, FOUND. The exhibition was subtitled ‘AN EVOLVING EXHIBITION’ as we produced new site-specific work for each venue.

The publication consists of a folder containing two CDs, a 64-page colour booklet and inserted postcards. The exhibition toured three venues: Peacock Visual Arts, Aberdeen; The Meffan, Forfar; and the Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh. The first CD is a compilation of various experimental music projects I have undertaken with FOUND.

At the opening night of each exhibition we performed a live music set composed specifically for each venue. This performance was recorded and burned to disc to form the second CD. At each opening graphic designer, Euan Duncan, designed a postcard live while we performed using digital photographs he had taken on the night. This postcard was printed with the tracklisting for the second CD on the back and inserted into the folder. Therefore the publication also ‘evolved’ as the tour progressed as each exhibition had a different second CD and inserted postcard.
